Quality Control
Project Quality Control is taken very seriously at Maloney and Bell
General Contractors, Inc. of California. It is our policy and objective to
continuously review our operations and to document and maintain an
effective quality system to ensure and demonstrate control of our
construction projects. We focus on the reduction, elimination and
prevention of quality deficiencies.
Maloney and Bell fully recognizes its accountability and acknowledges that
all of its employees are both individually and collectively responsible
for quality. The achievement of a high level of quality is related to the
planned and efficient utilization of the technological, human and material
resources available to the company, including the selection of qualified
subcontractors.
The individuals with primary responsibility for the quality control
process are:

Project Manager - Ensures the progression of the project while adhering to
the recognized standards of quality
and safety.
•
Project Superintendent - Ensures that all aspects of the fabrication,
assembly, testing and labor resources are
managed in a proper manner
according to the plan while adhering to approved standards, good
housekeeping, site
management, industrial relations and safety.
•
Quality Control of Subcontractors Work - Subcontractors are responsible
for the quality of the work they perform.
Maloney and Bell encourages
subcontractors to prepare and submit their own inspection and testing
plans for review by
the Owner, design consultants and Project Manager. The
subcontractor’s proposed quality control plans are checked with
requirements in the project specifications and the Owner’s outside testing
agency are consulted to ensure that proper
industry standards are included
in the guidelines.
